TOOL MANUFACTURING

We have our own mold workshop for the manufacturing of tools for injection molding. This guarantees the quality and delivery as well as enables manufacturing of extremely complicated plastic products. With our own tool making, we take the overall responsibility from the idea, the manufacturing process, through to the end product, and the customer does not get left hanging.

Furthermore, with our own tool production we can give advice to you as the customer about the design of the plastic part, as we have the knowledge and an extensive experience of the complete production chain. In the mold workshop, the mold tools are maintained continuously, in order to guarantee an even higher quality of the final product.

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT

For customized products we can also support with prototype samples during development phase for evaluation. We can offer prototypes in many different materials to serve as trial samples for the users.

In many fields, there is great uncertainty as to whether a new design will actually do what is desired. New designs often have unexpected problems.

A prototype is often used as part of the product design process to allow engineers and designers the ability to explore design alternatives, test theories and confirm performance prior to starting production of a new product. Engineers use their experience to tailor the prototype according to the specific unknowns still present in the intended design. For example, some prototypes are used to confirm and verify consumer interest in a proposed design whereas other prototypes will attempt to verify the performance or suitability of a specific design approach.

In general, an iterative series of prototypes will be designed, constructed and tested as the final design emerges and is prepared for production. With rare exceptions, multiple iterations of prototypes are used to progressively refine the design. A common strategy is to design, test, evaluate and then modify the design based on analysis of the prototype.

Small-scale production will allow you to launch a pilot batch of the product with minimum expenditures and risks. It places special demands on us as manufacturer, requiring being flexible, promptly adjusting production processes and meeting tight deadlines. Not all manufacturers of plastic protectors engage in manufacturing smaller batches because it is associated with a sharp increase in overhead costs per unit. We guarantee high quality products and compliance with deadlines. SURFACE TREATMENT, IML & PRINT

As we are a total supplier within the plastics industry, we also have built up the handling of labeling systems and various kinds of printing stations, as well as the handling of different kinds of surface treatments, as for example  vacuum metallization, painting etc. You could even cover plastic products with a metallic surface, which increases its protection against damages and scratches, along with providing an exclusive and appealing surface. It is possible to develop very good imitations of chroming and aluminum appearance.

The possibility in giving plastics its metallic properties has many advantages. Plastics are usually non-conductive, non-magnetic, are affected negatively by sunlight and have bad abrasive characteristics. Hence by the choice of the correct material and surface treatment, it is possible to alter these characteristics in order to create conductive decorative details with increased strength, stability and abrasive durability.

Sundplast prints on plastics and we have developed a very high expertise in printing on various materials. We mainly use two techniques: printing with solution-based colors that “etch“ into the plastics through migration, or heat transfer, that relocates a film to the plastics surface. The result in both cases builds a strong and durable pressuring surface that matches the high resistance of the plastics against for example abrasion, moisture and chemicals.

We have invested in a robotic IML production (In-Mold Labeling) that is a technique where graphical decor and labeling are directly integrated into the plastic packaging during the manufacturing process. This process occurs within a new system from leading manufacturers and satisfies all the regulation regarding the packaging production. Currently we can offer IML solutions on plastic packaging from 1 liter up to 11 liters, with great flexibility on order size.

We gladly commit offering you as a customer a total solution, where the assembly mission of complete products is included. As we are a total supplier in the plastics industry, we have put up assembling- and packaging guide lines for the handling of customer specific products.
